What is EROL SSL?
EROL SSL is a secure payment server run by Dreamteam Design Ltd. It allows you to have secure orders sent from your store without the need to install an SSL certificate on your own server, or program scripts to process orders through EROL. EROL SSL does not process Credit Card numbers in real-time like a PSP would, but collects the card information and attaches it to your order reference for you to process manually.
How does it work?
The customer would browse the EROL store and add items to the basket, this all happens on the vendors’ server (your server). When the customer visits the Checkout page and selects to pay by Credit Card, they are then forwarded to the EROL SSL secure server where credit card details are captured securely. The credit card details are then encrypted for download into the EROL Order Manager. The service can be tested before purchase, but all the customer details are set to default in the order that is downloaded to the EROL Order Manager.
Security
EROL SSL uses industry standard 128-bit encryption to ensure the maximum security for your orders.
The golden padlock is displayed in the browser when the customer has been forwarded to the EROL SSL secure server, giving your customers the confidence to buy online by reassuring them the card details are captured over a secure, all without the need to purchase an SSL certificate.
